Macro E … When more isn't better
When you macro-exfoliate, you can remove up to five million dead skin cells. It can do wonders for your complexion, but in this case, more isn’t always better—too much of a good thing can leave your skin red and irritated. The REDEFINE MACRO Exfoliator™ is exfoliation that is only meant to be used once a week, for five minutes as directed. For any exfoliation enthusiasts out there, we recommend completing your macro-exfoliation with ENHANCEMENTS Micro-Dermabrasion paste two to three times per week; just don’t use both products in the same day.

Spring Cleaning … Your Skin
Letter from the Editor: Spring Cleaning … Your Skin
Ready to dust off those winter blues and welcome the new season? Spring is here and that means it’s time for a good old-fashioned spring cleaning. This March, as you whip out your duster and attack your blinds, baseboards and windowsills, here is some food for thought: 90 percent of house dust is actually dead skin cells.
That’s right … the epidermis, the outermost layer of our skin, can shed up to a million dead cells every 40 minutes. That adds up to a whopping 1.5 pounds of skin cell dust a year. By the time you reach age 70, more than 100 pounds can be lost—and that’s without a diet. Unlike a snake that completely sheds its skin every year, humans do it on a continuous basis, creating as many as 1,000 brand-new skins in a lifetime.
In an average young person, skin cells turn over every 28 to 30 days, which means the epidermis can renew itself every month. It’s why young skin always looks so fresh and rosy. Problematically, this process slows over time, so much so that by the time you’re 40, it could take 50 days or more for the skin to rejuvenate. When dead cells don’t slough off as rapidly, your skin gets thicker, appearing almost stale, and dead cells pack into your pores, making them look larger.
Tune in to Derm RF all month long to learn how to spring into great skin and reveal a younger-looking complexion, just in time for summer. Keep an eye out for tips, tricks and chances to win, and, if you haven’t already, subscribe today to get all our updates.
Sincerely,

By the Book: Exfoliation
By the Book: Exfoliation
Exfoliation offers a simple way to get your skin to look like it’s younger than its years. Literally defined as the removal of layers, exfoliation supports the natural process of skin cell shedding. When we’re young, our skin cells turn over every 28-30 days, giving skin that healthy-looking, fresh glow we associate with a youthful appearance. Over time, this process of epidermal renewal slows, so much so that by the time you’re 40, it could take 50+ days for the outermost skin to turn over. When dead cells don’t slough off as rapidly, your stratum corneum gets thicker, appearing almost stale, and the dead cells can pack into your pores, making them look larger. This is why exfoliation is so important—it assists the natural shedding process and reveals the newer, fresher skin cells below.

The Race for Great Skin ….
The Doctor is in … Slow and steady wins the race for great skin!
By Dr. Kathy Fields
Every year the “theme” of the holiday season at my office is the same: panic! Come December, patients are suddenly impatient to get party-perfect and picture-perfect skin. In an effort to look fantastic for the holidays, many jump from salon treatment to salon treatment. But often their efforts backfire and soon their skin is inflamed from too much aggressive attention, a condition dermatologists call “Tandem Irritation,” and they end up in my practice searching for solutions to calm their skin.
If you find yourself treading similar waters, the key is to take a step back and restore your skin’s barrier. Incorporate skin-soothing products that contain clinically proven ingredients to fortify skin’s natural moisture barrier, calm visible redness and reduce irritation.
While it’s tempting to consider jumping for holiday specials, when it comes to skincare, remember—slow and steady wins the race. Real results come from consistent, daily application of clinically proven products. So limit the aggressive holiday skin treatments and stay on track with skincare tailored to your special needs.

Do you live for the weekend? Or dread Monday?
Imagine...
You are sitting on a park bench with two billionaires, one sitting on each side of you. They offer you a business partnership where you can use their name, their warehouse, and their distribution process so you won't ever have to stock up on products or worry about finding time to deliver them.
They tell you they will provide you with all the technology, training and resources to become a business owner. Plus they will show you how to condense 30 years of a conventional career into 3-5 years of hard work.
Then they tell you that YOU can now be your own boss and be in charge of your own life. Better yet, you will be the one to decide on how much money you want to make.
And just when you think it can't get any more intriguing, they say...
Imagine, for a few moments, living your life on YOUR own terms...freedom to come and go as you please when you please, traveling, paying for school tuition for the year with one check, getting to raise your own children without the need for daycare, buying that new sports car, dress, or dream home!
Who would say no to this?
Before YOU say no, message me.
Spend 4 minutes listening to these two entrepreneurs tell you about their new company & your opportunity to partner with them. And, if that peaks your interest, spend 10 minutes talking to me. It could be the best 14 minutes of your career!!
The best thing is....well, start reading again from the top!

Are You Destined for Dull Skin?
Myth Busters: Dull Skin Is a Normal Part of Aging
Dull skin is not your destiny; it’s actually an effect of sun damage and can be reversed with the right regimen. We recommend products that not only gently exfoliate but also include hydroquinone to lighten and brighten skin. Combine that with consistent use of sunscreen all year long, and smooth skin will be an ageless quality.
A Penny or A Million?
Would you rather have a million dollars given to you today or a penny that is doubled for the next 30 days? Take a look at the power of leveraged income. It's like compound interest that makes your money work for you and it's recession proof. I wish I had learned this lesson in college. My career would have taken a very different path!

Summer Clutter ...
Habits that Haunt: Piling on the Anti-Aging Products Before You’ve Cleared Summer Clutter
Dull skin, brown spots and freckles are all signs of sun damage. And no amount of anti-aging serums, lotions and potions will ever reverse their appearance. Before you get aggressive with your anti-aging efforts, clean the slate with a hydroquinone-based regimen to clear away the skin clutter. Not only will your skin look and feel smoother and more even, your anti-aging products will be more effective at addressing other issues like lines and wrinkles when the time comes.
