We often think of toners as astringents only good for cleaning and drying out oily, acne-prone skin. Nothing could be further from the truth. By our definition, a liquid vehicle designed to deliver actives to the skin is a toner. In fact, some of the most powerful anti-aging ingredients, including poly-hydroxy acids and ogliosaccharides, are best delivered in a liquid solution.
